The 2009 Sixth Annual VORTEX NATIONAL VET MOTOCROSS CHAMPIONSHIP presented by ProSports USA and Motocross of Marion County is a two-day event, with an all-day practice on Saturday, February 21, and the race on Sunday, February 22.  This Championship event will be held at Motocross of Marion County in Reddick, Florida, and is designed specifically for those riders who have earned the special status as a "VET MX RACER."  Most Vet MXer's have been racing for a good part of their life, and many are now introducing the sport of motocross to their offspring.  This event will also offer support classes for the offspring of the Vet Racers, and other up-and-coming riders.

Growing Bolder was there to cover the race action at the 2008 event, and they interviewed some of the riders.  Growing Bolder was founded by Marc Middleton to provide a forum to recognize folks like the "Vet Motocross Racers".  Bill Shaffer, and Andrea Coudriet, former newscaster's from WESH Channel 2, are also members of the GB organization.  Visit Growing Bolder at http://www.growingbolder.com, and click here or on the "gbtv" image to the left to watch race coverage of this event by Growing Bolder.
