The 2014 National Vet Motocross Championship race will
be held at Motocross of Marion County
in Citra, Florida is still to be determined.

The 2013 Vortex National Vet Motocross
Championship was another great weekend of racing.
Those who didn't show up because of the cool weather, missed out on
a great race. John Grewe of Cedar Springs, MI took
the honors in the +30 Vet Pro Money Class, and Michael
Treadwell of Tolland, CT won
the +40 Senior Vet Pro Money Class.

For the last two years the turnout
was less than what we had hoped. We have
contributed this to bad or cool weather forecasts.
In the case of 2012, the weather was perfect and lots of
people made there decision based on an over zealous
forecaster. If bad weather forecasts are the
reason for your decision to not attend, then give us a
call at 352-591-2377 and ask what the weather is like at
the track. If cold is the reason, all I can ask is
to bring your warm clothes like everybody else did.
Nobody sat out a race because they were to cold.
Think back when we were younger, and never missed a race
for any reason except maybe lightening. If, on the other
hand, you didn't come because you don't like the track
or the race format, let us know. You can call Lou

if you enjoyed the race or the track.
Most of you are business men and I
want to know what you'd do if your business lost money
two years in a row, which is the case with the National
Vet MX Championship. This race is in serious
jeopardy, and we need your support. Additionally , we
find it necessary to eliminate the $3,000 cash purse for
our pro class riders. We will go back to the
traditional 100% payback for the pro classes. We
hope that our event will pick-up in the future, but that
requires your support.

Bolder was on sight to cover the race and interview some of the
riders. Growing Bolder was founded by Marc Middleton to
provide a forum to recognize folks like the "Vet Motocross Racers".
Bill Shaffer, and Andrea Coudriet, former newscaster's from WESH
Channel 2, are also members of the GB organization. Click on
